IU1 Central Office Intermediate Unit 1 is currently accepting applications for our Emergency Substitute Teacher Program.
This Program is designed for individuals with a Bachelor's Degree in any area, but that are not certified educators/teachers, to become trained and certified as an emergency day-to-day substitute teacher.
The emergency sub program will be an online course.
Candidates that are selected for an interview will be contacted by the Human Resources Department.
The fee for the class is $75.

Please be advised that in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education regulations, any candidate that is accepted into the class will be required to submit official transcripts as evidence of a Bachelor's Degree.
Unofficial transcripts can be scanned and attached with your application.
However, please be advised that official transcripts are a requirement for the class.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
